1) A prime example of why Flash is bad. The actual content is also so absurd it's hard to believe it's not parody/satire. (Yes, it requires Flash. Turn it on briefly, just as a reminder of why you turned it off in the first place. Also, be sure to open it in a new window; it will try to resize your current window. The story was written because the author wanted something pat, not because he actually had a point. Part 1 was about how cars perform better now. Duh. We can get way more out of an engine, half the car is plastic nowdays, plus that minivan probably used more computing power than existed in 1960 just on traction control and ABS. Part 2 was BS falsely equating sports cars with the past. Guess what? They still make sports cars, and they made boring cars in the 60's, too ( ... )

I am quite gratified that I didn't have the correct version of Flash installed on my machine. I suppose, someday, I'll have to update, and deal with the resultant unanticipated collateral damage. But not today.
