Not really. I can look at the Nat'l League and see it's an easy pass to get to the World Series. If you think a team like the Mets.. a team that was the inevitable NL Champ before they got Santana should be downgraded after they get him, then your picks that I haven't seen are more delusional than my thoughts of the Braves winning the wild card.

I'm thinking Santana will be a 20% upgrade over Glavine (who was 3rd in the NL in quality starts) and Martinez, Pelfrey, Maine, and OLIVER PEREZ will all be significantly worse. Martinez b/c of age and the other three because they suck balls and had career years.

So, I think the Mets will win the same number of games and so will the Phillies (who got a little worse - Brad Lidge bahahhaha) but the Braves have improved by at least 7 or 8 games. The have Teixeira for the whole year and their rotation went from

Smoltz-Hudson-Chuck James-Buddy Carlisle-???rotating door of vaginal belches

to

Smoltz-Hudson-Glavine(3 of the 4 NL quality starts leaders)-Hampton-Jurrjens (who beat out Chuck James and another good rookie for the 5th)

And if the Mets win by 10 games I'm going to light Omar Minaya on fire.

Actually.. From what I hear James is out and Jurrijens is IN.. Hampton has made it thru a spring training so maybe he will last another month. The Mets are going to be ridic w/ Santana. The NL is weak compared to the AL. He could win 25 games.

world series : Pirates vs Royals .... Pirates will win in 3 games...only because hell freezes over........ i feel a 70 win season coming on, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee i'm soooooooooooooo excited.........haha
