The problem is people do a lot of talking, but they don't really say anything between them. I've come to value silence a lot, as well as the people I don't have a problem sharing it with. I read once that the reason so many working/overbooked women do yoga is to pay for the silence, the time out from a hectic life they just don't get anywhere else.
I'm glad you're getting a moment to break and catch up with yourself, that sounds absolutely wonderful.
And remember, you need to put your own oxygen mask on first, before assisting those around you ;]

and you're right about the silence too. i value that i get the choice to have it either way. i've been surrounded by people who avoid anything personal, avoid having to feel for others. people who consume their lives with drugs, in one form or another, rather than trying to live without them and realize that the pain brings even more joy. oh well. i've escaped it now.
i hope you're doing well though. better than me and my hives. :) i would love to hear what you've been up to one of these days. i have plenty of time and a break in the silence might be nice.
