I made butter cookies this morning. I would have pictures if Certain People hadn't eaten them all before lunchtime. Bobby.

I have the recipe, however. Enjoy.

Those look good. This is the recipe I use. I switch out some of the butter for butter-flavored shortening since butter melts too fast.

1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Prep's about the same. I'm supposed to get 3 doz. cookies, but I make mine larger. Either I'm a glutton or lazy, possibly both. ^_^
