Correct. I have (or maybe had) severe sleep apnea. My sleep dr. put me on a BiPAP machine, which is sort of like the more common cPAP. I have a full face mask.
As cumbersome as it sounds, it's not bad at all. you get used to it fairly quickly if your pressures are set correctly. And believe me, it makes all the difference in the world when it comes to sleep.
I sleep SO much better now, and I'm not tired all the time, and I'm even losing weight and not snoring at all. it's wonderful.
The machines are rather expensive, but insurance covers most of it, and the expense is so well worth it. Have your wife schedule a sleep study (with a referral from her doctor) and have it checked out. I'm SO glad I did.
glad to help! I hope the sleep study proves fruitful. So many cases of depression, weight gain, fatigue, lack of focus and concentration, memory problems, etc. are from undiagnosed sleep disorders.
I hope this is the answer.
As for reading posts, I'm so far behind on blogging and reading, so I missed your post. I'll catch up one of these days.
