Dear LJ Genie...

1. What should snarkyshark2 and I do in San Francisco this weekend? We will go up for a day, probably Sunday. We have been to the SF bay aquarium and Ripley's Odditorium. We also have a favorite Chinatown restaurant that we will certainly hit (the New Loey Goey Hoey -- way better than the old one), though other suggestions there are welcome. If you act now, you might be able to get Alcatraz tickets.

There's the Sea Lions at Fisherman's Wharf.

You could walk across the Golden Gate Bridge.

There's the Exploratorium. And Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

We've already been to Alcatraz. What is the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom? Is that where you read about roller coasters?

If you're around Sunday night between the hours of 9pm - 1am, and if you are prepared for an experience of deep and incredible beauty, you should go to Martuni's. Be prepared to sing, ideally something that goes well with piano. And bring jhogan and kime7673 with you!

Sad to miss it, as I'm TX-bound, but if you go tell Katy I said "hi". :)

Great! Sorry, I'm slow to associate faces with names and real names with LJ names, so... who are you? And who are jhogan, kime7673, and Katy?

You could propose, but that's been done before and we'd all be a little weirded out that you're copying Steve.

Yeah, that's going to happen at Universal Studios when Jaws pops out of the water.

Sunday brunch at Greens (vegetarian food)at Fort Mason is really delicious--take it from me as a very satisfied meat-eater. Reservations are usually required, not sure if they'd be booked yet.

I also looove Park Chow (at 9th & Lincoln, a block from Golden Gate Park). Their ginger cake with pumpkin ice cream is awesome!

As for places to visit...I really like the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate park...
