The phenomenon to which you refer to is called RPS. Or, Real Person Slash. People write fiction or create journals and are involved in roleplay.

Personally, being a BIIIG RPS fan/supporter/active participant myself (seansamastin) I find nothing wrong with it. *shrug* Just people having fun. I have also been involved in RPs where the physical likeness of an actor is used but not the actual actor himself.

It's just a game, really. It's not someone trying to do so for sick kicks or to smear Scott's name. It's just for fun. And a way to practice some different forms of writing, which in my mind is what RPs and fan fiction is all about.

*shrug* To each his own.

But DAMN Scott and Ralph is hot....;)

i fully understand that it's "role playing" and i understand the concept. no confusion there.

to me, it's just a weird way to have "fun".

however, maybe i'm just one of those normal everyday girls with lots of opinions about stupid things that don't even matter.

regardless, Scott is hot. Scottie 2 Hottie! (that's what i call my boyfriend sometimes cuz his middle name is Scott, muhahaha.)

I agree, those celebrity RPGS, which this journal appears to be a part of, are a bit odd. (Not to say that RPS isn't entirely without merit *cough*).

And, no, I don't think Scott's gay in RL.

That doesn't mean that I don't WISH he was.

:-D

And also meant to odd that I play a long-standing and, in my opinion, extremely well-written RPG where I use Scott's face as the image of my character. A character that happens to be gay. *shrug* As Toni says in her above comment, it's just people having fun. Try not to let it get to you. I think Scott himself would probably just laugh at our patheticness anyway. ;)

That should be "meant to ADD." Honestly, I AM an intelligent person capable of spelling things correctly. No, really.

I'm more amused by some of the other 'characters' on his friends list... why the hell would anybody want to play Zara Phillips? *boggles*

Anyway. I'm with Toni and Mark, I play in a fictional RPG where we're using actors as the characters' faces, and one of them uses Scott's face, and he's gay. But there's no harm in that, it's just fiction, and we're not saying that Scott is kinky, gay, and constantly horny. :D

I don't like RPS at all... got no problem with people who do (*waves to Toni* :P), but it's just a personal preference, just like I'd rather read Hermione/Ginny than Harry/Snape, which makes me want to chew my own arm off and beat myself to death with the bloody end. >.< So, I avoid it. And those RPS-RPGs PISS ME RIGHT THE FUCK OFF anyway, because there's this one fucking idiot who was 'playing' Ralph Fiennes, and he came to my ralph_fiennes community and started making asinine posts. IF YOU'RE GOING TO PRETEND TO BE A REAL PERSON, WILL YOU ACTUALLY TRY TO BEHAVE JUST A LITTLE BIT LIKE THEM????

*snarl*

[/rant]

So. Yes. I'd never ( ... )

I feel a bit confused on the whole thing. Who's pretending that they are Scott and who is pretending he's anything but a hot hot man who men and women both love?
