Terrence Howard’s mumbling ass
I lost it at that...LOL!

Thank you for this review. I've been kind of on the fence about wanting to see this at all. I'd vaguely heard the story of this 8-president serving black butler somewhere else long before I heard of this film. But when I saw how hard they were pimping the cast (including Kravitz in the spotlighted actors, about whom I totally agree with your wooden boy assessment), I stopped looking into what it could possibly even be about.
Looks like it's going to win the box office this weekend though. I'm not sure what that means about the strength of any future movies' writing, especially if people are generous and forgiving of some of what you've pointed out here. For me, unless someone else is paying, I'll look forward to a night at home with this when it hits the Redbox around New Year's.
