Wow! Do you know how long I have been looking for THIS story? This follow up to a major event in both of their lives? Twenty years. And here it is at last! Wonderful, wonderful vignette. Thank you so much for writing it!

Thanks for the comment, and I'm relieved that after such a long wait you enjoyed the story. Probably just as well I wasn't aware of the weight of anticipation while I was writing it, or I'd have been too worried about it not living up to expectations to ever publish it :-)

Ah, if only TOS had been made as a series where major events in people's lives DID get followed up from one episode to the next...
