Congrats. *hugs* That was very brave of you, and I'm glad your parents are okay with it.
Have fun with the cookies and Spangel. You KNOW all that posturing over Drusilla is just sexual tension! (I'm one episode away from the finale.
Honestly, I'd be fine with rooming with a lesbian. But most guys I know seem really threatened by gayness, for some reason. :/ I do not understand most teenage boys and their machismo.
Oh my goodness, aside from maybe Hush, season 2 finale is my fave episode. T_T. FINISH IT SO WE CAN CRY TOGETHER. AND BAWL. AND CRY. AND CRY AND CRY AND WHINE AND OMG MY TWO FAVE BUFFY CHARACTERS NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
They do have the only guy/guy kiss in the Buffyverse, and they absolutely had a past relationship, you've gotta be BLIND not to see that later on. NGL, I prolly wouldn't have come out to them if it weren't for characters like Angel and Tara/Willow.
That's awesome Scotty! I'm glad your parents were okay with it.
My straight friends don't have any issues sleeping in the same bed as me when we have sleepovers, but I'm not sure how it is for guys. I guess it depends on how secure they are in themselves.
The thing here is that the people I'm going to be staying with is a group I don't really know that well, we've talked a little, but I'm not sure what they'd think.
Congrats! Man, that must've been difficult. How did you do it, did you call them all together or something. Your mom's crying was...okay with it?
I'm 27 and my roommate is 24 (I think), and the only thing that bothers me is he is, presumably, a closested homosexual, and he should just come out and be done with it. When I was in undergrad, though, I dunno, I'd be fine with it, but I'd probably be more careful about stripping down in the room.
Heh, you know the end of Buffy season one where Buffy knows she's going to die but she has to, and she's cool as crystal? That was pretty much my feelings, and I told everyone to come into the living room and then I just flat out said "I'm gay" and they all said "what?" and I repeated it, then my mom started crying and saying that it was okay.
Ah, okay, thanks. I think you're the only straight guy on my flist ... your opinion is valuable and needed!

Tara is adorable, in case you don't know. After Angel, she's my fave.

Congrats, by the way!
And I couldn't really speak to 16/17, but I did room with a gay guy when I was 19 without any issues.
