I got home and had nothing to do, so I was contemplating buying a video game download online when I got a call from Steve out of absolutely nowhere, asking me if I wanted to buy his canon digital rebel ( Read more... )

how cheap are you looking? I know everyone gets really excited about the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 . I have the Sigma 17-70 and it's pretty good and I'd sell it to you for cheap, but my friend wants to buy my old Rebel and this lens from me.

and fredmiranda.com users (who are huge assholes) give decent reviews to this canon 18-55mm kit lens. and that site looks shitty I know, but I have bought lenses there before.

none of these cheap lenses work on my camera, only super expensive L lenses and prime lenses ugh.

ps have you had any problems with your digital harinezumi? Mine stopped turning on :( the battery wasn't anywhere near dead, but I put a new one in just in case. Still won't turn on. I was using it throughout that day, taking photos without a problem, and in the evening I went to turn it on and nothing! I keep trying every day...

aww man screw it, I will sell you the 17-70 for like 250 dollars if you want it. Pretty much everything on my facebook that wasn't uploaded this month was taken with it on a XTI.

Hi Kat!
While your 17-70 sounds awesome, it's more than I'm looking to spend right now. (Not that it isn't a good price. I just want to spend, like, $100 tops).

I had similar issues with the harinezumi, but I decided it was related to the camera getting wet. If yours has been wet, my suggestion is to put it in a dry place with some dry rice for a day or two, with the battery and card removed and the hatch open. See if that helps absorb the moisture out of the camera. If not, they do offer a decent year-long replacement warrantee and it is totally worth doing for that camera, given the price.

that's okay! I think your best option for something that cheap might be to look at keh.com's 35mm section, specifically the eos area. I think the manual focus lenses have a different mount, FD or something, instead of EF. I'm pretty sure all EOS ones will work on DSLRs, since most of the ones listed are still frequently used on DSLRs. this is pretty cheap and I just googled it and people seem to think it's the shit or something oh hey this is too They are pretty slow but as long as you don't shoot in the dark or something you should be set.

I had the camera at the beach with me, but it didn't go anywhere near the water. I think I'll contact the company about a replacement. It's really fun to have as a spur of the moment camera!
