How Quickly New Habits Form
I have been working a weekend job since November. It's an easy gig - hostessing at a neighborhood diner. I have lost weight from the six hour fast walk workout - yay! I have been lurking on a craft community for some months now, letting the creation of others percolate in my head. I have a concept for Valentines for this year's girly tea and am very excited about bringing into reality. So, one of the biggest debates within myself right now is the baby thing. I know the guy's and my life is not conducive to kiddom, but the pull of biological instinct, plans made 25 years ago, and retail marketing is very strong. Getting out of the way first thing!
That is my positive thought for the annual sinus infection that is kicking my ass. Also, running a 100F fever when your normal temp is 97.5 keeps you toasty warm in the cold weather. Snatching the Good from a Pretty Sucky Year
2007 had a pall over it, the entire year. I have not had a year in quite some time that I have been so ready to kick out the door. Practicing seeing the positive, here is my list of good things to give light to 2008. I will add to it through the New Year.

In October I realized the need to take a nice long break from my nuclear family. I need to get to where every interaction does not create new wounds so I can have a constructive honest conversation with them. Hanging in There
In Washington, DC for a conference. Lots of traveling this year, but this is only my second outside trip. Odd. And this month I have two. Both in DC. I am in Arlington for this one.
