Guys, I just downloaded itunes for the first time. Let me be clear: until today I have been using winamp. I decided to download itunes because I was thinking having an ipod at some point in time might be okay just so I could get rid of physical cds ( Read more... )

This is actually hugely helpful! I think my brain didn't recognise the fact that folders don't matter since my previous method of listening to mp3s was so folder-based. I also didn't realise things were so playlist based, though in hindsight I should have with all the celebrity playlists that are always going up. With Winamp playlists were kind of a pain - you could make one but then you'd have to save it as a separate file and it never seemed worth the effort to me. The idea of making all the playlists in here is kind of exciting to me, though! It seems like it's going to take me a few days of organising, which is genuinely my idea of a good time ( ... )

sdjfsdjf I hate iTunes, although I think it is better than the Zune software even though I like my Zune much better than I ever liked my iPod. Good luck with it. I still use Winamp for my music listening.

I barely ever listen to music anymore so all of this is a little silly. But maybe I would listen to music more if I had an mp3 player? I dunno.

I really only listen to music while at the comp or driving, and I plug my Zune in to a cassette tape adapter thingie. I would really miss that if I didn't have it.

I only listen to it when baking or driving and I have to lug the CD player out to the kitchen every time because I don't have room to keep it in there. But I don't have a cassette player in my car and I'm so lazy about changing CDs, sometimes I just have the same one in there for months. I keep finding new bands today that I'd like to listen to more of but I'm like :-< at the prospect of having to buy the CDs.
