graphics from my trip to Europe

I'm not remotely done with these! But it's the end of August, so I'll post the ones I've made and continue with more next month. Every photo is one I took while abroad, so apologies in advance for any poor quality (I wasn't allowed to use flash in some places, and my camera is not that sophisticated)

first, the seven icons I made from the gondola ride in Venice (all icons are snaggable, please just give credit):

the hotel we stayed at in Venice was along the gondola ride, so of course I took a photo of the sign

I found a map of Venice and the Grand Canal, and used it as a background for some of my photos I took while on the gondola ride

an icon I made of the drain covers in Rome- SPQR stands for "Senatus Populusque Romanus," or "the Senate and Roman people" and refers to how the Senate and the citizens had to work together in the republic era. I took Latin in high school so I had to take a picture when I saw the drain covers :)

Also while in Rome we went to the Vatican Museums. And one of the very cool things we saw we tile floors that the Romans laid, back during the Roman Empire. I love floors like that anyway, but this was even cooler. So of course I used the SPQR drain cover as my background.

a collage of photos I took in Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin- for the most part, the left side is the old part of the gaol and the right side is the new part, and the center photo is the gaol itself from the outside

Dublin has some beautiful churches, so a collection of photos I took of churches there

I'm not a beer drinker, but while in Ireland, I tried Guinness (didn't like it, but I had to try it!). On our tour we passed the Guinness factory, and on the way back to the hotel we stopped at a pub that's known for good Guinness- no small thing in Ireland :)
