ok so for the past 2 days I have been watching/reading the One Piece I have neglected....Holy Shit Oda, you have yet to let me down. I haven't read up all the manga, got like 6 chapters left. Lol I need to sleep for work :p. OK but Impel Down pardon the phrase, seems like Shin Enies Lobby. Can't wait to read the rest of this and see how it turns ( Read more... )

Oda has NEVER LET ME DOWN. EVER EVER EVER EVER. One Piece just keeps getting better and better. I loved it before, but I love it more now than when I started, which is not how these things usually go! It's truly a work of absolute genius.

Anyways, I couldn't disagree more about Impel Down being Shin Enies Lobby. Not true! It's not playing out like Enies Lobby at all, most notably with the absence of Luffy's nakama. The only thing in common we have here is "save somebody" and "going up against the World Government." I didn't like the douriki thing with Enies Lobby and how all the crew members sort of paired off one-on-one with CP9. That's why I loved Thriller Bark so much because you really got to see the crew all work together to take down one enemy. That was pretty epic.

Anyways, catch up! The new chapter just came out, and I am still rolling around in its awesomeness!
