wow, how did you get away with doing Rumors? I was just thinking a few days ago about how I love that play but there's no way the principal would ever approve it, too much profanity and sexual references.
I think we're on fall break that week, I may try to come down and see the show.
I would love for you to come down and see it. Actually, the play's not too bad. The sexual references are very small, and are more innuendo than anything. The profanity is the worst part, but language can be cut as long as you secure permission, and I have never heard of a company denying that as long as you don't change the context, just the specific words. Tough set, but it's fun to work on. Also, I ran into CJ at the NCTAE fall sharing weekend. You should check into that organization, they're really helpful and supportive. Talk to you later.
I knew CJ was going, she'd e-mailed me about it... unfortunately, I was supposed to be out of town that weekend already, and wound up going nowhere because I had the flu. Glad I didn't make plans to go now. A few of the other W-S teachers went though, and they're encouraging us to go to the spring one at the beach--I may do that one, if my schedule isn't too crazy at the time. I'd be interested to hear what all goes on at those conferences.
(also, I saw that Teresa Lee was leading one of the workshops at the conference, and I've had enough Teresa Lee to last me the rest of my life and then some, thanks.)
