well, passion of the christ sucked. I have to say, Mel Gibson was in way over his head when he tried to direct this, because it was poorly done. Gibson relies too heavily on the shock value of over the top violence, and many many slow motion shots of people looking up at the sky. Well, maybe you didn't care about Jesus getting beaten merely for trying to believe in his God and standing up for Him. I suppose it's just something towards the fact that he was viciously whipped, forced to carry a cumbersome cross up a large hill, then nailed to it and left to bleed to death that grasps me. And all so that we wouldn't be eternally punished for sinning on Earth, which we cannot help with sinful influences everywhere nowadays. All I know, is Jesus is my man.

Then again, you may not be religious and don't care about any of that, but this is exactly why God gave us opinions. Or maybe in an atheistic perspective, why human evolved to be able to produce opinionated thoughts.

That's just my two cents.
