Really? I get to be the first to post? Let's start by saying that I am SO excited about this fic! I love to hate Adar, and I haven't read nearly enough about him. My head's still spinning with appreciation: FINALLY, an Adar who is NOT a caricature. In the next parts, I hope he continues to be evil in all kinds of sneaky, subtle ways. :) I'm glad you're dealing with the POLITICS of Adar's return, and letting the emotional responses develop out of that. Laura and Bill are so in character, and your writing is so beautiful. *knees knocking together* Especially the beginning--so lyric! Thank you for the little things, like this description of Adar:

I'm a huge fan of Adar too - he's one of the most interesting aspects of Laura that isn't explored nearly often enough. The possibilities are endless with him, too. LOTS of fun to write :D

Oh, YUCK.

Adar really leaves a bitter taste in my mouth after this - probably because it's so realistically portrayed. I can empathize with Laura slipping back into her old role like nothing had happened. I can empathize with the chaos. Your writing style is beautiful.

In short, I love this and really can't wait for the next part. I am kind of hoping for a happy ending - like, I don't know, Adar accidentally being airlocked? XD
