Day 3 : In Which So Many Things Are Planned But Nothing Gets Actually Done Except Maybe Fic-reading

Jun 11, 2012 20:02

Remember my plan to start blogging daily? Yeah, so that went down the drain lol. My lazy ass just couldn't be bothered to pause The Killing marathon I was doing last night to load Semagic. Blogging is hard, okay (no, not really tho, self...) Anyway, Day 3! WHOO-HOO! I actually managed to do some chores today, instead of holing up inside the cocoon ( Read more... )

to-do, vacation

I really need to watch The Killing, I think. I've heard nothing but good things. ;)

Also... Hi! <3 It's really nice to see you back on LJ! I hope you're able to squeeze in all those things before you start this new job, too. Congrats on that, btw! ;)

It IS good, especially if you like cop dramas and procedural police shows. As much as I love cop shows, I get really tired of seeing the same formulas over and over again, you know. The Killing tries to take a different approach by giving us an investigation of a single case that spans throughout the entire series. It's slow-building, much like a real police investigation would be, and it gives lots of room for character development. Also, what I love about it is that it also highlights the members of the victim's family and how they cope with the tragedy. It's really great, imho :D

Okay, now that I'm done sounding like an AMC public relation person, hiiiiiii, Jamie! Gods, I've missed you! <3 How are you? What fandoms are you in now? (<-- lol that this question takes priorities #fangirlproblems).

Also, thanks! And I'll try to be realistic about my ambitious vacay plans. Although I hope I'll get to do at least half of them *crosses fingers*

Well, I definitely like that genre, so I think I will be checking it out. :D I'm especially intrigued by the idea of a single case being spread out like that over the season~

And yes! Hi! :D I honestly haven't been all that involved with fandom lately (IDK, it seems like a couple things I was into all started to deteriorate at the same time?), but I'm still relatively active in Torchwood, No.6 (anime) and Kimi to Boku (also anime). ^_~ I poke around in Sherlock BBC from time to time also. ;) Overall though, I feel like I've been looking for a new, awesome, all-consuming fandom for a while now! I'm sure something will turn up eventually. ;)

I always make overly ambitious plans like that anytime I've got time off. ;) I wish you the best of luck getting through your list! <3

SHERLOCK BBC <333 I'm literally DYING for the third season, not even kidding. It's SO GOOD, yet SO SHORT. I kinda hate the producers for that... But OMG how awesome is the series? I'm a huge Sherlock fan, so I was ~skeptical when the series started. But the adaptation completely blew my mind and I fell in love with this young, over-the-top sarcastic Sherlock, and OH MY MARTIN FREEMAN, GET IN ME.
