I really hate spiders. I just saw one, and really freaked out. It took me a while to get rid of it. I have lived in this apartment for 3 and a half years. This is only the second spider I have seen inside my apartment. This thing was big and fast. I have no idea what kind of spider it was as it's smushed and flushed now. I do think it was a solid

Spiders hate the smell of citronella (it's in oil lamp refills). If you get a bottle, swab it all over the place (wall seams and ceiling edges). Do you have ceiling fixtures? Because that's one place they can dangle from and scare the daylights out of you! Do you have a vacuum with a hose and crevice tool? Then you can do a thorough vacuuming which will help keep their existence under better control. Sending you soothing thoughts and a tap on Ellie's nose for not being on spider patrol duty!

I can't handle citronella. Many strong smells make my asthma worse. I did read that spiders don't like peppermint. I can handle that, but mint bothers Ellie. Multiple placessay the best was to get rid of spiders is to have a cat. So, Ellie needs to learn to hunt them.
