In the hospital

I am in the hospital, and I cannot sleep. I went to the ER with a blood pressure spike and chest pain. Now I am hooked up to 4 iv lines and waiting for tests in the morning. It's possible that I had a heart attack or caught it just before (or as) it happened. They didn't see signs of it at first, but the second set of tests showed signs of one. I

I did get some sleep. I just worry about Ellie because she was left alone at an apartment when her previous owners moved out. I know she will be okay, but she will be angry at me. If I have to be here longer than a day, I have more than one person who has offered to check on her and feed her.

Oh. I also swear I saw Tinker's ghost in my hospital room this morning. Then he disappeared, probably to go comfort Ellie. I know people think I'm crazy for saying I see him, but it gives me comfort to believe it.

I hope you're okay. And aside from being upset with you, I am sure your cat will be okay. I also suspect that your cat may not be as upset with you as you may worry. Cats seem to know when we've been sick.

Thanks. I have to have a heart catheter today. It was a small heart attack.

I'm sure your cat, even if she's a little upset that won't take long, she will be glad to see you back, even maybe she could feel something and be all sweet.
Good thing you have someone to look after her, so no need to worry about that.
