The problem wouldn't have an environmental element, would it?

Suddenly, I'm thinking the same thing.

When was your house built? Have you had tests run for heavy metals or other common poisons used in construction at some point in the past?

Not that we've found, although that's a good point, we should ah, figure out how to do that.

It would be kind of odd to have it absolutely not affect Sarah and the other cat though.

Still!

It is. The further I get away from it, the better it seems. Thanks.

I want to second looking into the house angle. I mean, I am absolutely no expert, but I've been doing some interview with folks made sick by gas drilling and it got me thinking of you. A couple of things: usually only one person in the household was affected and chemical poisoning doesn't show up on lab tests.

Just something to think about. Can you remember how soon after moving in your symptom's started? (if they started earlier, just throw this whole thing out).

One possible way to test -- not that this is a great thing to suggest to you and Sarah -- would be to move out for a month or two. Is there anywhere you could stay in Berkeley, where you weren't sick, just to see if the symptoms go away?

Okay, I'm going to wait for Sarah to yell at me now...
