Ah. I was too young to tend bar when I waitressed, so I just delivered food and I had to holler for an older server whenever someone wanted booze. But hey, drunk people tip better. I know what you mean, though - I waitressed my first summer after college, and all of my coworkers were blue collar and I didn't really connect with them. They'll be cool, though - just find something random you have in common and it'll be all right. Good luck!
Drunk tip better? Wow. Never thought of that! Cool.
I'm trying to find something in common with them, it seems they try a little sometimes, too. But mostly they see it as my responsibility to adapt to them, not the other way round. Which is obvious and very logical and makes me do stupid things.
It doesn't help that the other summer waitress seems to have quickly befriended them. But I hope that it's because she worked at the beginning of May too.
Today I'm going to service clients for the first time - I'm so nervous!
Oh fantastic, I'm glad to hear your coping well with your new job. I've worked as a waitress before as well and it was a pretty fast paced job :D good luck with learning the ropes.
You have too much faith in me. :) I just try to talk... lots... to finally find some topic to talk about some more.
Yes it's him! I visited the ontd_skating not so long ago (but didn't start watching, they have, like, 5 posts a day? My friends' page wouldn't be readable after that) and found a post with lots of beautiful banners.
I love kinda finally came round to Lambiel during those olympics. Not only is he crazily handsome, but he also skates like a dream. (Doesn't change the fact that I still love Plushchenko the most. ;)) Also, the fact that he was brave enough to admit he's gay made me admire him. In my primary sports love, tennis, of course, not even ONE guy came out. Can you believe that of all ranked professionals not one came out? That's crazily impossible.
Anyway, in the banner post I found his pics with Weir. I was wondering what's up with them hanging out together and actually dancing in some pics, but thought they were just hanging out, fooling around. I had no idea they were friends, like you say. Those are some
( ... )
I'm glad to know that you're better, and good luck, dearie! It's hard sometimes to interact with new people in a new environment, but I wish that you can get along with the other waiters :)
Thank you! God knows I'm trying. Today I'm going to serve clients for the first time! *is nervous* Wish me luck with that! I'm so scared I will mix orders. :C
