The goings on (to the sounds of Chopin again, surprisingly)

So, hello amigos! It's been some time, how are you doing? I'm sadly unable to find any strength at all to follow your journals so please, bring me up to date with your daily life. Any exams, job changes, journeys, new friendships that are important to you? Tell me about them!

I'm still working, and will be till around 7th September. But that's ( Read more... )

Congrats on your grades!

I did a similar thing when I was a freshman, and it was one of the best decisions I made in college. I met some of my best friends in the very first week, one on the very first day (I still remember what he was wearing, ffs). It's totally terrifying (or at least, I thought it was), but I'm so glad I did it afterward. Good luck!

Thanks!

Oh, so cool! I hope that if I will go there I will achieve similar success. :)

I work alongside 3 very tanned girls! Once a client came and asked for the one with pale legs and my coworkers laughed at me for the rest of the day!

Why do you try to stay pale?

I will surely take lots of pictures! If my application gets accepted, that is.

THANKS!!!

Don't tell me that I would be extremely popular with my fair skin, brown/ginger hair and freckles in Asia because that would make me wish I were there and I like where I live! XD Although here pale skin is usually taken as a sign of bad health or staying at home too much ( meaning staying before PC all the time = not a good thing). A healthy person has a healthy tan because they spend lots of time outside.

I don't know yet. And I don't know when I will.

Super congrats on your grades and in getting into your uni and program of choice. I am super, super proud of you, and I hope all goes well for you in the integration camp. Don't worry about dancing and showing off - you're a funny, charming person, and I think you'll do great.

As for me - I took the bar last week and survived but will not get the exam results for eight to ten weeks. I moved out of the house full of girls in Salt Lake City and am down south with my parents, hanging out, letting them get to know Cody, and then we'll hang out with my friends from Cedar before I head back to Omaha. Things are going really, really well with Cody. Who knows what we'll do three states apart, but we've decided to try to make it work for us until he can transfer out to Omaha and go to med school there.

Thanks!

Oh! You took it! Well, that's the worst behind you, isn't it? Now you can just chill out for a while. And what will you do next? Study some more or find a job? All this traveling is making me confused - so did Cody come with you or does he live some place near?

And I'm so happy that he seems to be perfect so far! I can see that you didn't really expect much at the beginning but now started to take this seriously. Hope it all works out for the best! *hugs*

Thanks! The worst is behind me. I'm going to see about taking the test to become a notary, get back into training so I can take my next test...and see about a job.

As for all the traveling, when I lived in Salt Lake City, Cody lived in Idaho three hours north. When uni starts back up for him, he'll be five hours north of Salt Lake City...and I'll be 14 hours east of Salt Lake City. So it's going to be long distance, but chances are he'll transfer out to Omaha before he finishes uni. I hope it works out, too. He's an amazing young man.

Good luck with uni! I'm so excited for you!

Thank you! :D

I used to be ginger haired when I was a kid and obviously, even though my hair darkened, my skin tone is very light. With freckles and such. As such I have problems with tanning and my mum always pesters me about checking with a doctor whether all of my moles are normal and not a beginning of a skin cancer or something. But I would love to tan easily because a slight, not enormous but a healthy, tan really does look nice.

Oh! You met people from ENB! That's so cool! And when I read about dancers eating KFC and you commented that real dancers wouldn't do that I thought: "Well, professionals would, they gotta have strength for whole-day training sessions and besides, they already are in a company so feel safe." XD

And wow! You got tickets so close to the stage! Guess your determination paid back. So cool! Now you're going to three shows!

Whee~ Congrats on getting your grade! CPE seems to be more convenient than TOEFL, since it's for life. But can it be retaken?

Good luck with camp preparation *huggles*

Thanks! Yes, I think you can retake it although I'm not completly sure. And agreed - getting it for life is much more convenient than TOEFL.
