This weekend was Spring Caravan, the Tribal/Fusion Belly Dance festival that is a 3 day event in near-by Somerset.  I totally fucked up the performance today, dammit, and I'm still pissed about it, but then I just always hate my performances and I really am not that good of a dancer/performer.  Motherfucker.  Blargh, I'm too hard on myself but

I wish I could have seen you! We were only there for a few hours on sat. I think we were gone before 3:30pm.

You looked beautiful on stage - I even mentioned to your husband that that shade of rose/pink really looks stunning on you... and you know I was WATCHING you dance and it didn't look like you "totally fucked up" to me... but hey, I know I very nearly missed a cue in ours and my arms where way too high going into the next step right at the beginning of our piece, which I consider totally fucking up too - so I get it!

I haven't done any of Asharah's DVDs but I can tell you that her Sunday morning workshop this weekend was super - she's got a figure skating and ballet background and is extra aware of where every toe and finger-tip is supposed to be in each move.... next time she comes around this neck of the woods if we can both afford to, we should definitely try to take a workshop with her together!
