honestly... I think it was amazing.
Although the entire move does kind of erase the entire history of the old star trek due to the vulcan thing, and... well... you will just have to see it. I personally think that the movie was made so that they could erase most of the past events, and start over from the beginning.
Saw it with my husband last night (he's now headed to his third viewing with a friend). I think the actors completely nailed the characters, and the writing was excellent.
I have issues with time travel plots, however. I think they are overused and a cop-out (although I suppose you could argue it's part of that whole "cheating" story line). I don't like that the Trek I knew and loved was erased. I get why they did it, but it still doesn't sit well with me.

I think we're going to see a fiercer more emotional Vulcan now that there are only 10,000 of them left in the galaxy.
