That was a fantastically clever and inventive story (perfect title as well). The switch from Kirk dying in the rock slide to Spock dying totally took me by surprise. I enjoyed reading the different ways the two handled the death of the other even if it made me sad. Thank you for making me happy again with the last part where they both escaped the slide and got to have their first time "thank luck and medicine and the universe (in that order) that you’re alive sex."

So the first part was absolutely heart breaking but when I saw the: Rocks fall; Spock dies., I (out loud; thankfully I'm in my room alone right now) started going "Oh god, oh no, oh god" because I realized I was going to have to go through it all again.

That said, this was excellent. I love how true to the characters it was and how realistic their grief was. And the happy ending was perfect. Thank you for sharing this.
