rosary

焼け枯れた若草がドス黒い雨で渇きを鎮める

残酷な空聞こえないように
消えかけの希望へ手を伸ばす

罪に穢れた哀れな世界で
I say a little prayer for you
灼熱の地で爛れた残り香と癒えない心

数珠繋ぎの儚い命の上命を何度と重ね歩いてく
止まない涙の陰どれほどの痛みを、どれだけ解り合えるのか?
ただ誰かが見たかった上弦の月を今この目に焼き付けよう

罪に穢れた哀れな世界で
I say a little prayer for you
灼熱の地で爛れた残り香と癒えない心

過ちを悔やめるこの鼓動の意味を感じて
生かされた今を

rosary

The burnt and withered young grass calms its thirst in the dusky rain

In order so that the cruel sky would not be heard [1]
I stretch out my hands towards the wish that half-way disappeared

In this miserable world that is dirtied by sins
I say a little prayer for you
A lingering scent that festered on scorchingly hot land and a heart that can't be healed

How many times am I repeatedly going to be walking the lives on top of the ephemeral lives that are tied together [2]
The shadow of unending tears, how much more pain, how much are we able to understand each other?
Just, the crescent moon that someone wanted to see, shall it burn itself into these eyes now [3]

In this miserable world that is dirtied by sins
I say a little prayer for you
A lingering scent that festered on scorchingly hot land and a heart that can't be healed

Feel the meaning of this pulsation that can regret its mistakes
The now that is let live [4]

Notes:
[1] or "so that I could not hear...". The verb itself means 'be heard', but the one to hear it is likely to be the speaker
[2] He does not specifically say "I". It could be "we", too, for example.
[3] Literally it is "burn into eyes", however the meaning lies around "burn into one's memory"
[4] I think the last two lines can be understood in several ways, especially the very last line. It could be the "now that is let live", but also the "kept alive now", the "made best use of now", amongst others. Also, the lines could be understood in a way that one should feel both the pulsation/beat (heartbeat, usually), and the now.
