Is it overly selfish of me to not attend someone's birthday party purely because they have the same birthday as me? I mean really - we have pretty much the same set of friends, and I'm expected to attend a party to celebrate his remarkable achievement which just so happened to occur 2 years to the day before I did the same goddamn thing. Yea this was just a sort-of-close friend, but the trouble was we have many of the same good friends.

Ha I can imagine. Same thing happened to a friend from high school, and it made it extra tragically funny that she's one of the nicest people on earth.

I dunno if it's selfish, but I've done it a lot. August 15th is apparently a very popular birthday - I can think of 5 people off the top of my head that I neglect for my own well being.

Yea it's nothing against them really, but it's almost like picking sides after a relationship ends - you're going to celebrate with the person you're better friends with.

have 3 of us claiming my day plus one 2 days out... THe old man regularly partied with 3 people on his too till one kicked the bucket. Its fun to share plus on of em happens to be cute, so if the party continues inot the wee hours, im not gonna complain...
