Soo my little impromptu trip to NYC is back on. The friend I'm going with agreed to subsidize my hotel stay a bit since his tastes are far more extravagant than mine (seems impossible, I know). I always just go for cheap and clean. No point spending a fortune on your room because you're never there (unless you're doing it wrong!)

Agreed. I think the terms 'cheap' and 'clean' are mutually exclusive when it comes to NYC, but maybe give it a few promotions at work and I'll feel differently.

NY hotels are crazy priced. There's some site my boss uses to find them. I think TimeOutNY. I need to find out myself.
