Hollywood sign is definitely worth seeing, but be sure to take the residential streets up into the hills cuz you can get a lot closer. It's quite awesome to see closer up.

For sitting in traffic 4 hours, just drive down to San Diego :-P That'll eat up 4 hours in gridlock right there :-P
