Seth has his sun and Anya has her doors. Anya strikes me as lonely so I'm glad she has Seth to talk to, and that he's writing her back. I loved the line about "people are like trees..." I've never met a tree that didn't want me to enjoy its shade or climb in its branches and enjoy the essence of nature. I also thought the line about "humans have a habit of sucking the meaning out of words" is insightful and accurate. We have so many words in the English language and yet we utilize the same, tired words over and over again. The overused words lose their power and meaning, their beauty, their breath. And "humans feed on truth..." I feel like that is true, and it sounds lame to say that, but it's an excellent point. We rush from one truth to the next, we want our words to have meaning, we want to be taken seriously because we speak truth, and we want something to ring true in a life and a world that's filled with constant movement and noise. Okay, I'll quite philosophizing and move on, but I really enjoyed this letter. :)

I'm going to have to work to reply to this adequately.
I love Anya a lot. I love the doors. I love the empty garden. I love the encyclopedia.
I love you! :) Happy Valentine's Day!
