And, of course, it works both ways round; maybe Corwin gave Shakespeare the idea, or Shakespeare gave Zelazny the idea, or both :)

In that universe, you do wonder whether Corwin wrote most of Shakespeare's work - we know he wrote ballads in Amber.

In our universe... I presume Zelazny had the first two lines of that sonnet in mind. Wikipedia lists plenty of other Shakespearian references, but not the sonnet above.
