Now tourists come and stare at us
New painting project, new pictures.
After looking at my progression, I think the initial application here is the nicest. Which is always depressing. This sort of work is something I do strongly, though. It was a burnt umber mixed with ultramarine blue, which makes a nice brown-black, painted quickly so it keeps contrast and line that I can't maintain with layers upon layers. But if I turned this into my painting teacher, he would be Less Than Pleased. It'd be his fault for assigning a painting due right after Thanksgiving break, if you ask me.
