I caught the train home from The O from the new Platform 6 at Mary-Le-Bone.

It was the most exciting thing that happened to me today.  Ho-hum...

I've tried (and failed) on several occasions to finally kick this whole lj thing off for 2006. With werk being so intense this year and the number of hours spent in the office rapidly escalating, the time and inclination to commit it all to blog has been sadly lacking.

It took its time, but I think I am actually ready for Crimble. The last two weeks at The (Big) O have been madder than a box of frogs and coupled with the fairly unseasonal weather in town I found it hard to really get into the Christmas Spirit. Loads of changes of schedules at werk throughout the week which has left me totally bewildered. I'm presuming they were all discussed during my absence last week but being landed with them at zero notice to me has completely buggered up my routine and having to check absolutely everything I was planning to with my manager first was very ( Read more... )

Was a painful journey into werk yesterday with out of service buses and failing signals heralding the now expected chaos of the "first day back".  Getting into The O at nearer ten than nine and being hit with questions before you've even had time to get your coast off is never the best way to start the week and I'm not even mentioning the ( Read more... )

Kept a close ear on all things Cornish yesterday and have made the decision to head out later this morning. Could be an interesting week in the South-West!
