I. People really think we should just abandon New Orleans to the sea. *boggles*  I can't believe they're still saying this crap. National Geographic readers are supposed to be enlightened or something. But hey, why not just leave it to die? Meanwhile, we should abandon New York City, because another terrorist attack is inevitable. Washington D.C. ( Read more... )

because my computer is too slow.

Sounds more like spyware to me. Have you tried installing ad-aware? (Ad-Aware Personal is free).

Did you go to Lumos?

I'm getting a little more excited about Phoenix, although I'd love to see them do something about those plagiarists. Replace them with STEVE! Yay Steve!

I have it, and I use it. But there are always a few things that it can't seem to get rid of. I'm not sure if it's the virus that's making my computer slow, but I know I have a virus, because AVG tells me everyday. *sigh*

No, I couldn't make it to Lumos :( I'm still in the newlywed-save-money mode, but it's getting better.

Please, as a public service to the state of Louisiana, if you hear people talking like this, will you 1) Bitchslap, 2) Repeat, 3) Point out what I just said above. Not to mention 1 million people, oil and gas industry, port at mouth of country's biggest river, jazz, gumbo, beignets and Harry Connick Jr.

I so dearly wish I could fit all of that on a bumpersticker. Maybe a t-shirt....

Or in restaurants:

"What do you want for dinner?"

"Fried shrimp, please."

"Do you think they should rebuild New Orleans?"

"No!"

"No shrimp for you then."

III. We got to the "big" theater at 9 p.m. for a 9:40 showing, and it was sold out. We had to go to the crappy theater, and when we bought our tickets, the cashier guy was like "I never would have predicted this." He couldn't believe how many tickets they were selling.

I lost a few brain cells at some of the reasons why New Orleans shouldn't be rebuilt. D: It would be completely different if they were the ones living here or if it happened to them in whatever area they live in.

Channing Tatum is very, very hot. Did you see She's the Man? Even if the movie doesn't suite your likings there are plenty scenes with shirtless soccer boys and Channing. Yes. :P

I am so so looking forward to seeing Henry Jenkins! His presentation is the one I'm most looking forward to hearing/seeing! That, the ball, Quidditch, a bit of illegal drinking, and meeting lots of people. PR shall be a blast.

Me too. I think my favorite reason is that the government is corrupt and there's nothing but debauchery and gay people. *dead from stupid*

I did not see She's the Man, but I will add it to my Netflix now, thankyouverymuch.

It will be a blast (and I think we're excited about the exact same things!).
