I don't know why but this really, really speaks to me.

Sometimes he forgot how long they’d been together, how far they’d come, how old they were now. And, now she was on her way to making fucking captain. And, he was fucking fired. Again. What would she want with him, now? She’d be too busy to even make time for lunch, he supposed. She would work her ass off, as always, and in time, in time, she’d forget all about her crazy, shit-disturbing, potentially career-ending former partner.

That thought made his chest ache and his gorge rise. He made it to the bathroom just in time.

His knees hurt and his head hurt and his mouth tasted like an ashtray and he knew had to get out of there. Now. Or, as soon as he was sober.

This breaks my heart. I love this depiction of him. Of Him still not knowing her as well as she knows him.

Huzzah! You wrote new fic! And it was post-Loyalty! And it references 'Fine, Fine Line,' which I have totally wanted an LOCI fanvid of for ages because it is so appropriate to their relationship!

Loved this little exchange:

“…everyone? Does…does Eames say that?”

There was a long, gusty sigh on the other end and a long, angry silence. “Listen. She can’t be reached where she is anyway, so I strongly suggest…no I order you to just leave her the hell alone. For once in your life, do what’s right for Alex, okay?”

And that’s when he knew exactly where to find her.

So Bobby to completely ignore the sister, and I totally believed her anger and protectiveness.

And the sex was of course fabulous and wonderful, but I think the making out bit right before was even better written. Just WHAM POW lust/love/hotness/connection stream-of-consciousness amazingness. And then after, one of my favorite parts:

Ah, I love when readers quote favourite lines. It makes me feel all warm and squishy inside. That line, Does Eames say that? is one of my faves from the story, and I kind of giggled whilst writing it. And you liked the making out part! Whee! Look at ME making my favourite fictional characters have SEX and say they LOVE EACH OTHER! Whee! I'm really really glad you liked, and took the time to tell me so. I appreciate it more than I can say, truly. I wish we could see this too. I keep hoping in the new "season." Eight episodes...will the writers at least give us a more passionate hug? A kiss? I read it again and remembered that I LOVED where they are remembering the smells and the feel of the parting hug -- it's so what I can imagine them doing.

And the ending. So brilliantly done with the maps and the lines and all.
