After three or four days I'm finally emerging from a fog of drug  and pain-addled despair. Thanks to the antibiotics kicking in I've decided not to kill myself, instead I'll wait till my dentist can fit me into his too-busy-for-my-liking schedule. And it was a close thing, for a while.

Glad you're better! Antibiotics both suck and rock and I am glad they are doing the rocking bit for you now.

Thanks :) I won't see the dentist till Friday, so if the antibiotics hadn't worked, I would have lost the will to live by now. I'd probably be at emergency begging for morphine.

Argh Beez. I had one of those bad root canals in May and it is horrible. Hope you feel better soon. And Friday is wayy to long - have you tried calling the Dr.'s office and moaning/whining like a brain-starved zombie?

I agree, way too long, but they said it was Friday or August. I could shop around, and I would if I was still in agony, but I'm mostly past the pain (fingers crossed) thanks to the antibiotics. Painkillers take care of what's left. I can wait.

Thanks! The tooth's great now, just waiting to get a round of x-rays done on it, in preparation for a new crown.
