Oh, Mr Fancy Pants. I'm making mac and cheese tonight! (from "scratch", not the blue box). I hope it does not suck. I made eggplant parmesan the other night which was ohmanyum. This is more than I have cooked in the past 6 months!! Give me budget-friendly ideas?

Well, DUDE, duck is not all that expensive, it turns out. I get peking duck legs for $3.99 a pound, although that is maybe because it is EVIL FACTORY DEATH DUCK. But organic duck is hard to find sometimes. Except at the markets of farms.

Anyway. If you can invest in it, a pasta machine is an awesome way to start making fancy soundin' food. And it is easy. And not that expensive, like, $40 new, and probably you can get one "junking" if you are determined enough, as some folks (i.e., my host) are.

But make chicken piccata. It is way easy, and way good. If you want a full recipe, I will write it up for you. It has, like, 4 ingredients, can be made in 20 minutes, and goes really awesome over pasta of any sort with some vegetable sides.
