Baby Arugula Salad with Roasted Figs and Shaved Pecorino
Serves four?

• 3-4 handfuls very young arugula (also called rocket in Britain and pretentious America)
  
• 8 fresh figs
  
• Hunk of pecorino romano (an aged Italian sheep's cheese)
  
• 1 lemon
  
• at least 1/3 cup olive oil
  
• fresh ground black pepper to taste
  
• salt to taste
  
• dab of Dijon mustard
