If you were at all curious, take my word on this: American Virgin is the second worst comic I have read in a long time. Not, of course, worse than Civil War, which will be remembered forever for all eternity forever as the worst comic to come out of this decade, but close. I avoided Civil War like the plague, so no gnashign of teeth for me there.

Wholly behind you on American Virgin. Damn Becky Cloonan's siren song (so...easily entranced by pretty). Seagle doesn't know what the hell he's doing. *shakes fist*

You are a much, much, MUCH, wiser woman than I.

And thanks for the heads-up re: "American Virgin". I was considering giving it a glance at one point...

I'm just in it to help people. It's moments like this when I know that I'm like a fireman. Or a brain surgeon. I make a difference.

Yeah, I was sort of confused about that given all the good things I'd heard about it. Because... not good art, not good characterization and dialogue, and although I only read the first trade, not that great a plot.

Yeah. The plot is the most ridiculous thing ever. And the review I read compared it to Preacher, which is asinine. American Virgin: a whiny, sex-obsessed guy traveling around the world to talk to - and possibly turn the other cheek at - the GUYS WHO KILLED HIS GIRLFRIEND. Preacher: a man who wants to punch god in the face. See the difference?
