a question for the R fans
Why do you think JK brought Rufus into the series? What purpose does he serve? What purpose might he serve in the future? I mean, there has got to be more to this guy because she sure made a point to get our attention about it and we already had Fudge to serve as the failing-miserably-minister.

Honestly, I'm not certain of the direction that she's taking him in. Guessing there'll be some more aggresive action from the Ministry, though it's likely to do little good. Because she seems to love her Order and her Harry so. >.< I've got theories about Rufus, but I doubt very much that they're anywhere near to the evntual actuality (...alas).
MAYBE something more substantial at another time but, yeah... Just figured this could use a response. YEP.
