Oh, I remember this guy's HP review, they were really hilarious, and that was a fascinating reading.

Interesting thoughts, although there are parts where I think he's totally overstating his case to the detriment of any kind of dialogue. You know, the exact sin he lobs at Al Gore. *shrug*

Well, he has a general tendency to hyperbole at time. So I guess this reflects in this essay as well. I don't agree entirely , but some of his thoughts were pretty interesting.

but yeah, there are some glaring examples in the Prize history of women getting shafted (Rosalind Franklin being the other famous case). Miserable. Personally, I thought Stuart Parkin totally got shafted this year. GMR is nifty and all, but it was *his* insight that turned it from a lab curiosity into a product you can buy for $100.
