Last Travelogue of the Semester: Johannes de Montecorvino

So,  my semester of medieval travelogues is done, since last Thursday. Since I tortured the students with the original latin text, the discussion was much less animated than I would have liked to. However, the reading of the latin text went much better than I would have thought.

Your classes sound so interesting. And now I've read Genghis Khan and the making of the modern world, this sounds doubly interesting.

I liked doing that class a lot, and I think it was also interesting for the students more or less. (Apart from reading texts in latin which is always a problem for them, because they didn't have so much latin.) I'm still not perfect at creating better discussions, but some of the classes were really good.

I always found the medieval travelogues very interesting.
