It's 11 o'clock and I should start going to sleep because I have to be at work in the morning at 6, but I've just decided to post some random stuff on LJ....why? Cause I'm odd like that

My philosophy on birthday and valentine's day is to keep it simple. I make a point of having a good Valentine's day regardless...for the past few years I've just gone out to a movie with Nicole, and that's been awesome.

Do you have any friends who you know won't flake on you?

Or better yet, if you plan to see a movie, and they flake on you, you can still go. It's all in the mindset. The point is to do something that you will enjoy...try not to let other people bring you down.

As for people forgetting your birthday, that sucks. My little trick: I always mentioned my birthday a lot. I'll post that it's my birthday. I figure, if I want people to wish me Happy Birthday, I gotta make that happen for myself. And that's way better than just keeping silent and then being bitter when people don't remember. Give them a good push, ya know?

It's all about creating the kind of day you want, and it doesn't really matter how simple it is or how many things go wrong, as long as you end up doing something you enjoy.
