Thanks! Your comments made me go back and look at it a little closer, and it subsequently became my favorite too.

I probably threw away 75% of the shots that night. Even that wide aperture is only so helpful when you're dealing with spastic, racing kids in the dark with a sliver of a moon.. I found myself waiting for nearby streetlights to add a little extra ambient..

gallery.sackheads.org has some of the other shots that didn't make the flickr cut, if you're interested. I usually rate my pics 0-3 as part of the postprocess. 2's make gallery, 3's make flickr. 4 and 5 are rarely seen. :)

I took along the point and shoot. Didn't even think about the possibilities with the dSLR. Although that's probably good as I enjoyed being in the moment more than trying to do an awesome job of capturing the moment. Or maybe I was just lazy.

I'm a bit confused as to how some 2's could be in gallery but not make the flickr cut, but 4's and 5's aren't viewed at all. I'll check out the gallery stuff!!
