A cough, head, and stomach symptoms aren't generally mono symptoms. Mono has sypmtoms more like a sore throat and fever. If you don't have the sore throat and fever, then you most probably don't have mono.

well, i have had a sore throat also, and i coughed up blood yesterday( yes, i kno EWW so shush i feel bad enough already). the doctors in WI are retarded and now i can't go in until tomorrow but idk. i'm really hoping it's not mono. i have been sick the past couple months, i was in the hospital a few times in april so maybe it's because of that. but idk.

Do you have a fever? And with mono, people generally feel really weak. Well, it can still be many other things. Even if it is mono that you have though, mono-type illnesses are more common than people may think. And it doesn't necessarily have to be mono. Mono comes from the Epstein-Barr virus. It is calculated that about 90-95% of people between the ages of 35 and 39 have the Epstein-Barr virus, even if they don't know it. Mono is just a more serious case that the Epstein-Barr virus sometimes can turn into.

The coughing up blood is probably due to irritation from coughing a lot.

So, just see what the doctor says when you go in tomorrow. They'll probably end up testing you for Epstein-Barr or Mononucleosis. Good luck when you go to the doctor.
