So, I started to get sick on Tuesday. I swear every time I leave the city I catch something, yet I can work around the sickest people and never get anything from them. Today I told a tech to go get the anaesthesia cart from room 4 and bring it to room 1. He is gone FOREVER so I go to check and he is rolling the cart out a little, stopping, scratching his head and rolling it back. Repeat x 3. I ask what's up and he says it keeps getting 'stuck on something'. I disconnected the power plug from the wall and rolled it out.

Is his name Carlos? The other day I asked him to get the stretcher from outside the room we were in. He comes back without the stretcher and says, "It's blocking the fire extenguisher. What should I do?" Meanwhile, the patient is about to roll off the bed in the OR.

You must be a saint. I would have told him if he'd brought the flippin' thing it wouldn't be blocking anything!!
