Things to get excited about

I'm taking advantage of next weekend being the ANZAC Day long weekend to go and see Sam in Adelaide, woo! My second ever trip to the eastern states in the eight and a half years I've lived here, if you can include SA as eastern. My friend Richard, the one I met in India, gave Perth his tick of approval as being better than Adelaide (in your face, ( Read more... )

Euro10 woohooo!

I hope that "my friend" lives up to the hype too, so much recommending! Still, I will be interested in hearing if Pascal is universally helpful or if I've just had good travel agent luck?

I'm reasonably confident you've found a rare gem, but we'll see. I'm going in tomorrow... I need to get a quote for travel insurance as well :S

Apparently Adelaide has the second biggest fringe festival in the world, second only to Edinburgh. And there is apparently general wordly consensus amongst fringe artists, that if they can make it in Adelaide, then they can make it at Edinburgh.

I only found this out last night, and am frankly horrified that it isn't common Australian knowledge...

Or perhaps that's what those fringe kids want... hmm

Hm, I was vaguely aware they had a fringe fest, but I did not know it was so highly regarded.

A guy called Pascal from STA also helped me out a couple of years ago and he was pretty decent.

I know someone (kind of) who works at CERN! Can't wait to see you! Only four months until I leave - scarily close.

Can't wait to see you!

Teehee, I will see you before then, but I know what you mean, it will be excellent to see you there! Tentative dates for Strasbourg are 15 - 18 November... Hm, whirlwind tour but as I said dates are still up in the air. Will you try to join us for Heidelberg and Paris? I am SO excited about Paris, it's just so ridiculous that I've never been before.

I would LOVE to join you guys but will have to see re work etc ... if I have any! Is there ANY way you can postpone your trip to Strasbourg by a week for THIS? (http://noel.tourisme-alsace.com/) Alternatively if you're in Paris at that time would you consider making a day trip because it would be a real shame to miss the markets when you're so close time-wise!
