Organizing and Pre-writing

Rod has an oath on the line, plus my fingers are damn itching.

I'm looking for decent single pane outliner, no I'm not just willing to settle for Word's, and then I'm also waffling on a decent Writing organizer. Currently I'm waffling between Scrivener (sadly not the Mac version but the free Windows beta ... which is kludgey) and Liquid Story

I've heard good things about Keynote

Worst comes to worst, it's small and free, so you can always delete it.

See that's a two pane outliner. God's that sounds so petty, but a single pane one just does outline.

Essentially, I want it to add the I, A, 1, a, 1), a) type of crap and little else.

I have played with Keynote, but for the stuff I'm doing ... it doesn't export well.
